Overview
Grocery shopping has always been slow to adopt new technology and change, and as the world of online shopping has been taking over, grocery stores have struggled to increase in-store shopping by consumers.
We were tasked with understanding the needs of the contemporary grocery shopper to provide meaningful, positive, and enjoyable interaction in the physical store environment.
Overall Goals:
- Increase in-person grocery store shopping
- create an enjoyable shopping experience that entices users to return
- Consider stakeholder impacts/tradeoffs
- Increase local business publicity
My Role: Project Manager
It was crucial to guide my team toward success through:
- Taking the Initiative → Leading group discussions and activities
- organization/structure → Keep members on task, completing work on time, establishing deadlines, creating & managing Documents
- communication → Sending out reminders, assigning tasks
- Encouraging the team to participate & share ideas.
- Navigate issues due to a team member who did not pull their weight.
